Student Council members are excited to visit STEM Advisories tomorrow morning to provide more information on this website and our upcoming dance! To answer a few questions, we've put together this FAQ...
What time is the dance?
Doors will open at 6pm and you'll need a ride home at 8:30pm.
Where is the dance being held?
The dance itself will be held in the SHS Gym. We'll have places to take a break, water stations, and food outside the gym in the 2nd floor lobby.
Will there be a place for me to keep my belongings?
It's probably easiest to leave bags at home, but if you are bringing an extra jacket, purse, etc. we will have a "bag check" as no extraneous personal belongings can be allowed in the gym. Checked items will be kept very safe and will be monitored the entire dance. Students will have access to these belongings at any time throughout the event.
How much does this cost?
Dance entrance is $10. You can also bring extra money for food if you'd like - we'll be selling candy and baked goods for $1 each. Water will be provided for free. Please see Ms. Wentworth if you are concerned about the cost.
What should I wear?
Dress casually!! This is not a formal event - you should simply wear something casual that you feel comfortable in. Most students usually wear jeans and a favorite shirt. Please remember that the dress code in your Student Handbook still applies. Any student with specific outfit questions is welcome to ask Ms. Wentworth for advice.
Should I have a date?
This is not a date dance! This dance is a time to have fun and relax with your friends and classmates - no one will be going as "dates".
We'll add more questions and answers as we receive them! Feel free to leave a message on the "Contact Us" page!
